Partnering to Improve the Health of All People in Denver

2017 DPH Annual Report
Read our 2017 Denver Public Health Annual Report, “Leveraging Partnerships and Engaging the Community to Improve Health for All"

A substantial portion of the work conducted by the Public Health Institute at Denver Health (PHIDH) is carried out in close collaboration with a wide range of community and government organizations. These partnerships are integral to the success of the Institute’s initiatives, as they help ensure that the health programs and services meet the diverse needs of the community. Through the support and shared expertise of local stakeholders, the Public Health Institute at Denver Health is able to leverage resources, implement effective strategies, and drive meaningful change in public health across the region. This page provides a few examples of the PHIDH’s key partnerships, showcasing the impactful work being done in collaboration with local organizations and government entities.

Metro Denver Partnership for Health

PHIDH is a member of the Metro Denver Partnership for Health, a partnership of key stakeholders committed to improving health in metro Denver through regional collaboration and action. MDPH serves the seven-county Denver metro area, including Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, and Jefferson counties. MDPH partners include the area’s local public health agencies (LPHAs), health systems, and Regional Accountable Entities. Nearly 3 million Coloradans, 60 percent of the state’s population, live in the Metro region. The Partnership collaborates with regional leaders in health care, human services, behavioral health, environment, philanthropy, education, business, local government, and others to achieve its goals of advancing health equity across the region.
